“For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.”(Mark4:22).
When standing on this promise of God from the book of Mark and asking Him toreveal His secret, a small , still voice said: Hast thou considered my servant Job?(Job1:8) I then endeavored to search out the matter and this tract was the result . All scriptures are italicized and from the King James Version , making this tract mostly the word of God : for God is in heaven , and thou upon earth : therefore let thy words be few (Ecclesiastes 5:2).
Hast thou heard the secret of God ? (Job 15:8).
Seeing it is hid from the eyes off all living , (that’s you) and kept close from the fowls of the air (that’s the devils-see Mark 4:4,15). Destruction and death say ,We have heard the fame thereof with our ears .(but fools die for want of wisdom-Proverbs10:21).God understandeth the way thereof , and he knoweth the place thereof. For he looketh to the ends of the earth ,and seeth under the whole heaven; To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure .(I wonder if thescientist can figure those weights?) When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightening of the thunder: Then *(in the beginning of His way Proverbs 8:22) did he see it , and declare it; he prepared it (He made it that way) yea, and searched it out. God keeps his own word :seek, and ye shall find; (Matthew 7:7)and if thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; then
(Proverbs 2:4,5)And unto man he said , Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom ; and to depart from evil is understanding .(Job 28:21-28).THIS IS HIS SECRET .
THE BOTTOM LINE
Wisdom the fear of the Lord) is the principal thing; (Proverbs 4:7)and all the things that may be desire are not to be compared to it .(Proverbs 8:11).The back of churches ,bible book stores ,and libraries are loaded with books full of messages, but listen to God’s Word: And further , by these ,my son , be admonished : of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flash .Let us hear (he that hath ears to hear ,let him hear ,Matthew 11:15)the conclusion (BOTTOM LINE) of the whole matter (What really matters to God): Fear God, and keep his commandments : for this is the whole *duty of man. We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our *duty to do. Luke 17:10)For God shall bring every work into judgment ,with every secret thing, whether it be good , or whether it be evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:12-14).
Jesus confirmed the secret of God to us by saying :Fear them not therefore : for there is nothing covered , that shall not be revealed ; and hid , that shall be known.
What I tell you in darkness , that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear , that preach ye upon the housetops.(Here is the next thing you hear in the ear that needs tobe preached on the housetops). And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.(Matthew 10:26-28). Then Jesus shows his wrath against servants that hide the fear of the Lord after he had delivered unto them his goods, which is the fear of the Lord according to Isaiah 33.6.The fear of the Lord is his treasure One servant said :Lord , I knew thee that thou art hard man. Nevertheless he hid it and the Lord cast the slothful servant into outer darkness (Matthew 25:14-30). Don’t make the samemistake .Get the true gospel out to others.
THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL
The good news is there is forgiveness with thee , that though mayest be feared .(Psalms 130:4)
The apostle John testified of this good news when he said : And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation ,and kindred, and tongue (you don’t have to learn Hebrew and Greek) and people, Saying with a loud voice, (Say it loud) Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come (Revelation 14:6,7)
The apostle Paul verified this by saying : if any man preach other gospel unto you …let him be accursed . ( Galatians 1 : 9 ) and knowing therefore the terror of the Lord , we persuaded men (2 Corinthians 5:11) . Paul preached : whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the world of this salvation sent ( Acts 13 : 26 )and let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit , perfecting holiness in the fear of God . ( 2 Corinthians 7: 1 )
The apostle Peter preached in every nation : he that feareth him , and worketh righteousness , is accepted with him . ( Acts 10 : 35 ) and Fear God ( 1 Peter 2 : 17 ) .
WHY FEAR GOD ?
Because Lucifer who is made without fear ( Job 41 : 33 )fell . God through the Fear of the Lord,hath founded the earth ( Proverbs 3 : 19 )He made it that way , for I am fearfully and wonderfully made ( Psalms 139 : 14 ) and , behold , it was very good ( Genesis 1 : 31 ) , for though hast created all things , and for thy pleasure they are and were created ( Revelations 4 : 11 ) The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear Him , in those that hope in his mercy . ( Psalms 147 : 11 ) if you want to be in tune with the universe , you need to receive the fear of the Lord because God requires it : And now , Israel , what doth the LORD thy God require of thee , but to fear the Lord thy God , to walk in all his ways , and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all the soul ( Deuteronomy 10 : 12 ) .
And to them he will shew his mercy : For as the heaven in high above the earth ,so great in his mercy toward them that fear him .Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him . but the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him , and his righteousness unto children’s children ( Psalm 103: 11 , 13 , 17 )So why aren’t Christian preachers proclaiming the fear of the Lord from the house tops all over the world? Because of……
ONE OF THE MOST QUOTED SCRIPTURES
The Old Testament scripture that is quoted many times in the New Testament (Isaiah 6 : 9 – 10) Hear ye indeed , but understand not ; and see ye indeed , but perceive not Make the heart of this people fat , and make their ears heavy , and shut their eyes ; lest they see with their eyes , and hear with their ears , and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed .Paul said :Well spake the Holy Ghost ( Acts 28: 25) to the Jews, but to the gentiles he said:Well , because of unbelief they were broken off ,and thou standest by faith . Be not high-minded , but fear : For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spear not thee.And then he said: For I would not brethren , that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits :that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the gentiles be come in ( Rom.11:20,21,25).Jesus said that few would find the treasure of the fear of the Lord . The majority in Noah’s day was wrong and Jesus said : But as the days of Noah were ,so shall also the coming of the Sun of man be .For as in days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking ,marrying and giving in marriage , until that Noah entered into the ark .And knew not until the flood came , and took them all away ; so shall also the coming of the son of man be . ( Matthew 24:37-39) . Don’t be left out, be motivated by the fear of the Lord.
THE KEY OF KNOWLEDGE
Woe unto you, lawyers ! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge : ye entered not in yourselves, and then that were entering in ye hindered , ( Luke 11:52 ). You cannot begin to open a door without a key .The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge : but fools despise wisdom and instruction ( Proverbs 1:7 ) . The first woman ,Eve , cast off fear when the devil beguiled her to gain knowledge without the key, assuring her that she would not die . Verily , verily, I say unto you ,He that entereth not by the door into the sheep fold , but climbeth up some other way , the same is a thief and a robber ( John 10 : 1 ) . She died , and we her offspring are doomed if we neglect this instruction .The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom . (Proverbs 15 : 33 ) .
WARNING
The vast majority of modern preachers have forgotten that it was the fear of God that made them wise unto salvation . They seldom mention it , but God says exalt her, And she shall promote thee ( Proverbs 4:8 ) . Some even quote the scripture out of context as Satan did to Jesus in attempt to beguile him out of the fear of God (Matthews 4 : 6 , 7 ) . They will say For God hath not given us the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1 : 7) . But Paul did not say fear of God . He did not want Timothy to be timid , for the righteous are bold as a lion, and in the fear of the Lord is strong confidence ( Proverbs 28 : 1 , 14 : 26 ) . The seven Spirits (notice that it is capitalized) which are before his throne ( Revelation 1 : 4 ) are enumerated in chapter 11 verses 2 and 3 of Isaiah : And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him , the spirit of wisdom and understanding , the spirit of council and might , the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord , And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord . You get quickenedby the spirit of the fear of the Lord .
Chapter 8 of Proverbs tells us that the fear of the Lord contains all these self same spirits . But the heretic , desiring to show himself nicer than God , will quote ( 1 John 4 : 18 ) There is no fear in love ; but perfect love casteth our fear ; because fear hath torment . He that feareth is not made perfect in love . Notice again it does not say Fear of God , because The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever, and Happy is the man that feareth always .( Psalms 19 : 9, Proverbs 28:14 ) That doesn’t sound like it could get cast out or torment you . Remember, we are perfecting holiness in the fear of God . ( 2 Corinthians 7 : 1 ) . So then they will say that the fear really means reverence nowadays, but the Apostle Paul says serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear : For our God is a consuming fire ( Heb . 12 : 28-29 ) .

David said : My flesh trembleth for fear of thee ( Psalms 119 : 120 ) .

And the father of faith : And the scripture was fulfilled with saith , Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness and he was called the friend of God. (James 2:23). But God did tempt Abraham ( Genesis 22 : 1 ) God just wanted to know one thing. When God was sure he stopped Abraham from giving up his only son saying : now I know that though fearest God ( Genesis 22 : 12 ) . And all the world was blessed because this man feared God .
Jesus said : Ye are my friends , if ye do whatsoever I command you .
( John 15 : 14 ) Then he said: And I say unto you my friends , be not afraid of them that kill the body , and after that have no more that they can do . But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him (Luke 12:4-5). This is not reverence. This is the fear of the Lord.
Be thou blessed with the fear of the Lord. You will want to sing unto God. THE ONLY GOSPEL SONG that is named and recorded in the New Testament is found in Revelation 15:3-4: And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, (the Old Testament) and the song of the Lamb, (the New Testament, in perfect harmony) saying, Great and marvelous are thy works.Lord God almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy… These people can’t get kicked out of heaven and they still fear the Lord. The overcomers are singing about the fear of the Lord because that is how they made it up there and God loves it. If this is the kind of song that God wants in his throne room, don’t you think that most Christian music is out to tune with the Lord? But accept Jesus as your personal savior and you will sing a new song. The Lord wants us to occupy till he comes. How do we pass the time? Pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: (1 Peter 1:17) warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom (fear of God) (Colossians 1:28).
If you want God to remember you, hearken to this, lest you be a part of the sea of faceless men who refuse to preach the fear of God.
THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE
Then (Like they finally got it through their heads) they that feared the Lord spake often one to another. And the Lord hearkened, (He responded) and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him ( so he could not forget ) for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts , in that day ( final judgment : the judgment was set, and the books wereopened – Daniel 7: 10 ) when I make up my jewels ; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him . ( Malachi 3 : 16 – 17 ) This was absolutely confirmed by Jesus in the first soul saved under the lamb’s blood when the dying thief preached the fear of God and then asked the Lord to remember him. The Lord (though dying and gasping for breath) he harkened to the thief, assuring him that he was in the book (see Luke 23:39-43).
Jesus himself was heard in that he feared; though he was a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of salvation unto all them that obey him (Hebrews 5:7-9). Jesus feared God and was made perfect in love. We preach Christ crucified. . . the wisdom of God (the fear of God).(1 Corinthians 1:23, 24) For in much wisdom (fear of the Lord)is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge sorrow(Ecclesiastes 1:18). Jesus is the epitome of the fear of God, therefore he was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. . .Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:3-4).
Jesus went to Hell and Back for you to escape Satan’s fate and he says: Take up the cross, and follow me (Mark 10:21).Hell can’t be preached hot enough. In order to get out of here alive, you have to hear the Bible, for reproofs of instruction are the way of life (Proverbs 6:23).Listen to the fear of the Lord pleading with you: Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at naught all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when fear cometh (Mathew 7:22,23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in they name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.) when your fear cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity ( they love the prosperity messages but neglect the true riches : the Fear of God) of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. Perfect love (and this is love, that we walk after His Commandments –2 John 6)casteth out fear of evil.
If you don’t know Jesus as you personal savior, ask forgiveness for all your sins. Proclaim Jesus as the only savior, believing that he died and shed all his blood to take away all your sins and was raised from the dead by the Power of Holy Ghost for your justification, making Him your God just as He is the God of Abraham, the fear of Isaac, the Dread of Jacob, the Holy One of Israel, the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:80). God formed the ear so he will hear and hearken to you now if you will say this prayer to him with all your heart.
PRAYER
My Lord and My God, have mercy upon my soul a sinner . I believe that Jesus Christ is son of the living God. I believe that he died on the cross and shed all of his blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. I believe that God raised him up from the dead by the power of the Holy Ghost . I open my heart to receive Jesus Christ as my personal savior. Wash all of my sins away with the blood you shed for me. I know you have heard me and answered me ,and I believe that I am saved and I thank you Lord Jesus for saving my soul…
Now that you are saved , raise your hands to heaven and praise and thank the Lord for your salvation.
If you are already a Christian and have not been talking often a bout the fear of the Lord Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent , and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly ,and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent . (Revelation 2:5)No matter how many works full of wonder you do , if you don’t exalt God as greatly to be feared, you may be a big shot down here, but the Lord will say he never knew you. Don’t trust any man with your salvation ; work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure .(Philippians 8:17). REMEMBER The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant . (Psalms 25:14). My covenant was with him of life and peace ; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name .(Malachi 2:5). If you want this life and peace ,remember that the fear of the Lord says I love them that love me. ( Proverbs 60:4), The Lord wants you to advertise this : thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth (Psalms 60 : 4 ) and his banner over me was love (Song Of Solomon 2:4): For God so loved the world ,that he gave his only begotten Son, (the fear of the Lord) that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16). Then said I, lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will , O God (Hebrews 10:7). It is throughout the bible that the way into eternal bliss with a loving heavenly Father is to receive the fear of the Lord into your hearts that He might guide you to Him. Therefore whosoever heareth these saying of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man (one who fears God) which built his house upon a rock (Matthew 7:24) .No man can serve two masters : for either he will hate the one , and love the other; or else he will hold to the one ,and despise the other .(Matthew 6:24). For one is your Master, even Christ (Matthew 23:10);and if I be a master, where is my fear? Saith the Lord (Malachi 1:6).
